Incense has been around for many millennium with the first combustible bouquets used by the ancient Egyptians, who employed incense within both pragmatic and mystical capacities. Traditionally, incense was burnt to counteract or mask the putrid aromas and products of human habitation, and the ancient Egyptians widely perceived it to also deter malicious demons and appease the Gods with its pleasant aroma.
In modern day society, incense sticks are the perfect aid in ones’ meditation practice, therapy, healing and/or ceremony. Incense is also used to fill the home or space with aromatic fragrance derived from herbs and/or botanicals and can also be used as a substitute to smudge sticks working on the mind, body, spirit and environment.
There are many different types of incense and there is a distinct difference in quality and burn time between the cheaper mass-produced product and the high quality hand-made all natural product.
Our incense sticks are of the highest quality – no added synthetic fragrances or oils used. They are hand rolled using only natural ground herbs and botanicals. Unlike the mass-produced sticks which have a very short burn time, our hand-made incense sticks will burn up to 1 ½ hrs each.
